Does Panic Disorder Raise Risk of Cardiovascular Disease?

I have been dignosed with Panic Disorder / High Anxiety.  After reading information from several sources, I am confused.  Does chronic anxiety / panic disorder put me at any additional risk for heart attack or other cardiovascular disease?

The reports on this seem to be conflicting.  Some say it does, some say it does not.  What is your opinion on this matter?  Is there a definitive source of information on this so that I can get closure on this issue?  As you can imagine, it adds to my anxiety to be constantly worried about what may happen to my heart.  I am an otherwise healthy 27 yr. old male.  Thanks.

I don't think there are any trials on this topic and this is probably why there is some difference of opinion.  There are some  associations between "type a" personalities and heart disease but no association between panic disorder and heart disease.
