Don't know whats wrong.

For the past 3wks I've been having a fast heart beat
and skipped beats. When It first started I noticed that
when i would sit down after standing for a while,
my heart would seem to pound real hard for a few seconds.

Then a couple of days later I went to the ER because of
fast heart rate and skipped beats, also I was having cold
sweats and hot sweats at the same time.

They ran some blood work ,ekg, and echocardiogram,
and said every thing looked normal.
The cardiologist seemed to think it was virus related since I
was runing a 101 temp and flu like symtoms. Or somthing that
wasn't heart related since the tests were normal.
Now its three weeks later and I'm still having these heart
problems.
Right now i'm wareing a king of hearts heart monitor.

My question was they did a thyroid test and said it was in
the normal range,But my mother seems to think its thyroid
related since I've had all the symtoms and it runs in the family.
Also she was reading this book on the thyroid were it said
that some forms of thyroid problems are not detected in the
blood work such as Graves disease,or Wilson's is this possible.

Of course thyroid can cause these sort of symptoms but "if the glove dosen't fit..." given the normal test results the thyroid cannot be convicted.  Your mother is probably reading an older book before there were better blood tests that now can detect any thyroid abnormality.
