Dysautonomia?

Dysautonomia?

I have been doing some reading on dysautonomia and am wondering if I have it.   I keep getting these "attacks" that are really disturbing.  I've had palpitations for nearly 3 years now and have had a normal cardio work-up.  Honestly, I can learn to deal with the palps but these "attacks" are destroying my life.  Here are some of the symptoms:

1.  Feeling shaky/weak/ and like my arms and legs are wobbly
2.  Feeling like I might pass out
3.  Feeling like I can't take in enough air (I have asthma and it feels different from an attack)
4.  Tingling in different areas of my body.....like my face, arms and legs

These "attacks" just started about a month ago.  I've been to the ER twice and also have seen my family Dr. 3 times and keep getting a clean bill of health.

My only other thought is that maybe I am having an allergic reaction?

I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm not a female, but I have had the exact same symptoms for the last 6 months. I also have POTS(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Which means when you get-up from a resting position, like sleeping or laying on the couch, your heart rate increasdes by 30 or more bpm, with a BP drop, some people faint.
I was just at the ER 2 days ago. I was waiting for breakfast to cool alittle, so I sat watch the news, laptop on my knees. I felt warm from the laptop and out of nowhere my whole body felt warm, flushed, freaking out heart starts racing. To the bedroom for the BP machine, checked the BP 216/194-163. Called 911, before they got there about 5-8 min, I was already calm and back to normal. BP 128/81-78. I really think I had a panick attack. Got back home, had lunch, laptop again had another similar attack, so, I think it was panick attacks.

Not to take away from your topic, but the symptoms are really bad. I was at a health store and all of sudden I just got flushed and unstable I thought I was going to pass out. A few seconds more I was going to tell the lerk to call 911.

You mentioned "alergic (allergic) reaction". Maybe.
This all started when I started taking a lot of different supplements around that time. Just prior to the onset I was under a lot of stress so I started taking XANAx on a regular basis. I will stop all supplements for a while and see what happens.

See article available online by EP Dr. Satish Raj. of Vanderbilt University.

Blood pressure drop is due to something else/additional. Most POTS patients do not faint and the diagnosis included that there is no drop in blood pressure, just an increase of heart rate >30 bpm when standing.
