EECP, MVR, CAD

Two credible sources have different opinions regarding EECP therapy with a patient that has MVR (mine is moderate to severe).  I would appreciate your opinion, and if it is a risk what is mechanism of the risk.  Thank you.

There is some controversial evidence regarding its use for severe MR. If you have severe MR, then you need valve replacement or repair. If the MR is secondary to a functional process, such as LV dilatation, there are also interventions that can be performed in specialized centers to help with this. Some are even performed percutaneously. IF there are no surgical options, and you have consulted the opinion of experts at tertiary care facilities, then you may use it perhaps for its placebo effect.
