EF and medication

My husband has an EF of 20% and he went to see a specialist who added Imdur
to his list of medications which include Diovan, Lanoxin, and Lasix.  I have been
following postings and everyone who has raised their EF to a higher level was
put on Coreg.  Is Imdur in the same class as Coreg?  What does Coreg do?  Should
my husband request the Coreg so his EFs are raised to a more acceptable level?
I am really concerned about the 20% EF and if it can be increased with Coreg,
then he should be on it as far as we are concerned.
What is your view point on this?
