EKG Borderline abnormal

by Jim, Aug 12, 1999 12:00AM
I am a 31 year old Air Traffic Controller, at my last physical I had an EKG taken that came back borderline abnormal.

I am very active and have been all my life...I run, ride a bike, play racquetball at least 4 days a week and lift weights at least 2 days a week.  I have never had any problems with my health.

I was told that the results of this EKG has not changed from previous tracings (an EKG taken when I was hird at 21).

Dear Jim

It is unlikely that this EKG abnormality will lead to sudden death. Your risks of needing a pacemaker in the future may be slightly higher than the average person, though.

I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
