EKG Read - Right Ventricular Hypertrophy

Hello,

I was seen in the ER yesterday for what was a suspected blood clot in my leg - I had a doppler ultrasound, a chest xray, and an EKG.  The ultrasound showed NO Clots, but a Baker's Cyst - I was told this is benign.  The EKG the Doctor said was "perfect" but then mentioned it erroneously showed possible Right Ventricular Hypertrophy??  He seem not at all concerned, and he said my X ray was also normal.  He said "they rarely look at the right side of the heart on an EKG", and that everything was perfect.  I was a bit confused by this - what could this mean?

I am 28 years old, male, non-smoker with social drinking habits and no illicit drugs.  I take Ativan .5mg as needed for anxiety, that's all.  I do not frequently have palpitations, and my heart rate varies from 66 (Resting) to 88 (daily).  My BP is always around 105/70.  Any idea as to what the ER Doctors meant by this EKG read?  Thank you.

There are some fairly non specific criteria for right ventricular hypertrophy on EKG. But to really evaluate this you will need an echocardiogram, which actually looks at the right ventricle, measures pressures and valvular function.
