What I meant by "rip me off" was that he would then make me come back another time to run another stress test but off the beta blocker.
The forum question posts reached it's limit so I thought I would post my question here. My cardiologist put me on metoprolol 25mg twice a day and wants me to take my stress test while on the medication. He said my tachycardia may be because I have extra adrenaline (he seemed really convinced I have anxiety) however I explained to him some of my weird heart episodes occured during school breaks where I am most care free and I am sure it was not because I was stressing, anyways, He did not want me to pause taking metoprolol on the treadmill stress test scheduled next week, wouldn't this skew the results? It would seem like it would make it harder for me to reach my target heart rate or at least show that I am in better shape because my heart rate would be low. I would be performing this test without being in a "natural" state right? Is he trying to rip me off? The appointment I had with him seemed rush towards the end and he seemed like he did not want to talk to me until I take the tests.
Not likely, she was probably only trying to get a better tissue contact with the leads, as there probably was some noise on that particular lead.
