EKG question

EKG question

I recently had an EKG and the results said: Supraventricular Arrhythmia, Abmormal Right Axis Deviation, and QRS(T) Contour Abnormality consistent with High Lateral Infarct. Are these things real serious? Do they go hand in hand? How concerned should I be? Thank you!

deedles529,

ECG frequently will have computer generated results that appear on the top of the ECG. The computer generated results are fairly accurate but an official reading of the ECG is still necessary. The findings you describe are fairly general descriptions and commenting on the significance of them isn't possible without actually being able to see the ECG. I would recommend discussing the results with a cardiologist who can interpret the ECG in the context of your past medical history and any symptoms that you may or may not be having.
