EKG results

I had an Adult Transthoracic Echocardiogram done and the final summary stated:

1. LV ejection fraction is 54%, which is normal
2. Mildly dilated right atrium.
3. Mild mitral valve regurgitation.
4. Mild tricuspid regurgitation.
5. Mild pulmonary hypertension.
6. Mildly enlarged right ventricle.
7. The images were of adequate diagnostic quality.

This is how is was printed out on the last page of results.

Is there anything from this summary that I should be concerned about? My doctor sent me for the test because I have been having some heaviness in my chest when I am doing cardio work out and feel like my heart is beating extra hard sometimes just anytime. Thank you for any input!

There is nothing on that echo report that stands out as absolutely abnormal or cause for concern. You have several mildly leakly valves which should certainly be followed over time, with yearly echocardiograms, but which are not currently cause for concern. Likely, the pulmonary hypertension, mildly enlarged right ventricle, and mildly enlarged right atrium are all related, and it might be worth having a workup for primary pulmonary hypertension, though it doesn't seem bad enough at this point to be causing any problems.

In the meantime, if you start having more severe symptoms, you should have another echocardiogram or maybe a transesophageal echocardiogram to see if the severity of these issues was possibly underestimated.

For now, no need to worry about it too much.
