Echo Report

by LukeL, Sep 26, 2007 06:58PM
Read my echo report and amongs other things it said mild to moderate LVH with evidence of mild diastolic dysfuntion. It also stated mild mitral and tricupisd insuffiencies which I know is almost always benign or a normal vairaint.

Docs don't seem concerned and have been given a clean bill of health, was wondering in PVCs can caused evidence of diastolic dysfuntion as I had dozens during the echo it self

If you doubt the doctors I would suggest you get another opinion.

Well the orignal cardiologst who did the  echo wasn't concerned and the report I have is from my PCP, so I assume a doctor at his clinic also read the echo.

Diastolic dysfunction (the heart not relaxing fully or properly) can appear on echo if the heart is beating really fast.  I would assume PVCs might cause a similar phenomenon since they're basically extra beats, thus speeding up the rate.  Especially if you were having a bunch.
