Echo findings

Hi Doctor,

I had a echo test recently. The finding for the left ventricle are as follows:
"Moderately dilated I.V cavity.Moderately impaired LV systolic function.Visually estimated LVEF is 30 to 35%.Regional wall motion abnormalities seen.Mild concentric left ventricular hypertrophy".
(finding for other tests are normal)

My physician is of the opinion that I should wait before a bypass surgery can be performed.

When there is a left ventricle enlargement and/or an EF below 50%, and a possibility medication can reduce the cavity size and it is not an emergency the doctor may want to wait for an improvement.  About 6 years ago, I had an enlarged heart, low EF, and the doctor didn't want to do any surgery.  I was and have been treated with medication, and my heart has returned to normal size and good EF (59%).   I still have blockage with the circumflex vessel (72%), but there has been no mention of any operation...medication prevents any chest pains.
