Echo vs Stress Test-Worried-Please Respond

I am going to have an echo.  I've already had a stress test.  What more can a echo show.  Can a person have a normal stess test and abnormal echo and have heart problems?  Still having some chest pain.

An echo shows many different things.  Where the stress test aims to see how you respond to stress (like exercise) from a cardiovascular standpoint, the echo will look at the structure and function of your heart.  Yes, it is possible to have a normal stress test and an abnormal echo, or the other way around.  However, it's a good sign if you have one normal test first.  Best wishes for normal results!
