Echocardiogram results

I’m 46 years old, and have had a history of shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pressure, intermittent edema for over three years with a worsening of my symptoms in the last couple of months. Three echos have been done (2009, 2011, 2012).
The latest echo shows these results:
Ejection fraction 55-60% (2009 65-70% and 2011 60-65%)
Mitral valve regurgitation, moderate (was mild at 2009 echo, moderate in 2011)
Tricuspid valve regurgitation, mild (mild in 2009, trace in 2011)
Pulmonic valve regurgitation, trace (trace in 2009, none in 2011)
Borderline right atrial enlargement (none in 2009, borderline in 2011)
*These are the echo measurements:
RVDD 3.7 cm
IVSD 0.94 cm
LVIDD 4.6 cm
LVIDS 3.2 cm
LVPWD 0.78 cm
EF (EST) 59%
AO ROOT DIAM 2.3 cm
ACS 1.9 cm
LA DIMENSION 4.1 cm
RA DIMENSION 4.3 cm
*Doppler measurements/calculations:
MV E POINT 85 cm/sec
MV A POINT 97 cm/sec
MV E/A 0.88
MV V2 MAX 95 cm/sec
MV MAX PG 3.6 mmHg
MV DEC TIME 0.21 sec
OA V2 MAX 136 cm/sec
AO MAX PG 7.4 mmHg
AI MAX VEL 102 cm/sec
AI MAX PG 4.2 mmHg
LV MAX PG 4.7 mmHg
LV V1 MAX 109 cm/sec
MR MAX VEL 489 cm/sec
MR MAX PG 96 mmHg
TV V2 MAX 66 cm/sec
TV MAX PG 1.7 mmHg
PA V2 MAX 72 cm/sec
PA MAX PG 2.0 mmHg
TR MAX VEL 221 cm/sec
TR MAX PG 20 mmHg
RVSP 25 mmHg
RAP SYSTOLE 5.0 mmHg
PA PR (ACCEL) 28 mmHg

I am scheduled to have another echo next week (this time a stress echo), but my cardiologist just gave that as one option along with several others (change meds to see if that helps symptoms, see pulmonologist to check lungs, and a couple others) I'm just not sure what direction to go.  What are your thoughts with these results?

Hello,
No one can diagnose via the Internet and without being able to review your entire history it will not be possible to give you an exact answer, however if your symptoms are mostly induced by exercise, proceeding with the stress echocardiogram is by all means the right thing to do.
It will not only serve to evaluate noninvasively for ischemic heart disease (blockages in heart vessels) but also look if your moderate mitral regurgitation in not worsening with exercise.
Although your symptoms could be explained just by moderate mitral regurgitation (back-flow through this valve can lead to shortness of breath  and eventually to edema) but normal BNP suggest against mitral regurgitation as a cause of your shortness of breath.
I would suggest following your cardiologist recommendations re: stress test and comprehensive workup of your symptoms by other specialists as well.
Best wishes
