I’m 46 years old, and have had a history of shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pressure, intermittent edema for over three years with a worsening of my symptoms in the last couple of months. Three echos have been done (2009, 2011, 2012).
The latest echo shows these results:
Ejection fraction 55-60% (2009 65-70% and 2011 60-65%)
Mitral valve regurgitation, moderate (was mild at 2009 echo, moderate in 2011)
Tricuspid valve regurgitation, mild (mild in 2009, trace in 2011)
Pulmonic valve regurgitation, trace (trace in 2009, none in 2011)
Borderline right atrial enlargement (none in 2009, borderline in 2011)

I am scheduled to have another echo next week (this time a stress echo), but my cardiologist just gave that as one option along with several others (change meds to see if that helps symptoms, see pulmonologist to check lungs, and a couple others) I'm just not sure what direction to go. What are your thoughts with these results?
