Electrocardiogram Results

I am a 25 year old female and I have PVC's.  I was also given an electrocardigram and was told that I have some regurgitation in my tricuspid valve.  Is this normal and should I be concerned?

Dear Laura, thank you for your question. Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) can be seen on an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) and not on an electrocardiogram (surface electrical tracing of the heart).  Thus, it's unclear how you received a diagnosis of tricuspid regurgitation just from a surface electrocardiogram.  I suspect you had an echo and the "electrocardiogram" in your question is a misprint.  If that is indeed the case, then you most likely have trivial to mild TR.  Everyone has a small bit of valvular regurgitation seen on echo.  Unless the TR seen on your echo was graded as moderate or severe, there's nothing to worry about.  If the TR was graded as moderate or severe, please write back and include a full report from your echo.  I hope you find this information useful.
