Endocarditis?

Should I be worried about the signs in my fingernails ? Since two years I am having fine lines from bottom to the tip of the nails. Could this be a sign of endocarditis?

Vertical ridges such as you seem to have (running from the cuticle to the fingertip) are not necessarily a sign of any disease. Many people have them and they seem to become more prominent as we age. I can vouch for that.

Horizontal lines might be a sign of illness that has caused a slow growth that shows up in the nail (like small rings in trees during a drought). You can ask your doctor if you have a real concern or other symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.
