Enlarged Heart

When a person has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart is there any way (with meds and diet or whatever) the heart will ever go back to a normal size or will it always remain enlarged?

If the LV heart chamber is enlarged (dilated) often returns to normal with treatment.  Lv hypertrophy also can be due to wall thickness, etc. will almost never return to normal size.

Hopefully it will go back to normal.  I was diagnosed with CHF a few years back, extremely low EF and enlarged ventricles...my heart is now normal size normal function.  Low sodium diet and exercise and meds....talk to the doc.
