Enlarged Pulmonary Valve Operation

by chuck_skaggs, Sep 25, 2009 03:22PM
In 1964, I had heart surgery for Pulmonary Stenosis. Yesterday, my echo and stress test shown that I have an enlarged pulmonary vein, nearly twice the size of the normal aortic vein. He said I need surgery within 2 years but sooner the better.

What is the recovery period? How long is the hospital stay? Since I was on 13 months old for my first operation, I stayed in the hospital over a month. I am sure it is not the case these days.

Any inf/advice will be appreciated.
Chuck
