Excessive coughing then a pop in lower left rib cage now when I cough sharp pain

I have had this crud in my lungs for over a week it has hit seattle hard
after coughing excessivly I felt a pop in my lower left rib area now whenc I cough it sends a sharp pain

It is sensitive but ok if I dont cough but stabbing pain when I do

I would think if my rib was broke I would have a lot more pain all the time not just when I cough...

I have that exact same problem right now. What did you do about it? Is there anything to do about it other than just rest?

i have the same problem popped two in two weeks just by coughing.take pain killers and use heated wheat bag.trust me it will help
