I'm trying to determine if I have an issue that needs further medical exploration. I'm 39, femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction and have exercised for over 20 years. Since entering my 30's I've had an occasion heart rate spike only experienced during cardio exercise.
My anorobic (spelling) threshhold has been measured at above 180 bpm so it's commonCommon cold for me to exercise with my heart rate in the 160's and 170's sometimes reaching the mid 180's. There are occasions (typically once a month but sometimes more frequently) when my hear rate will go from that range to over 220 (as indicated by the heatBabies and heat rashes Heat emergencies Heat rash Infant heat rash Tenosynovitis in my chest, a heart rate monitor on my body, and even the cardio machine's reading). If I stop exercising completely and breathBreath alcohol test Breath holding spell Breath odor through my noseNose fracture, the rate will go down to 130 or below and I can resume exercising. If I try to get it to go down by just slowing down, it seems to be stuck and will only "reset" once I've stopped completely and let it fall. This takes maybe a minute or so.
Otherwise I'm in good physical condition - don't have and have never had issues with high blood pressurePressure ulcer, etc.
Have you spoken with your physician about your concerns?Best thing you can do right now is to get either a holter or event monitor and try to capture the episode, and let your doctor identify the type of rhythm at work, and go from there.. good luck!
