Exercising

Doctor, thanks for your earlier response. The hormone in question definately began with a C, as I asked my doc to repeat it twice (and still didn't remember the name--but I asked if it was spelled with a K or C and she said C).

Secondly, I was diagnosed with atial fibrillation when I was in my doctor's office. She listened to my heart and did an EKG and after that sent me to the emergency room, but I had converted back before I got there. I've been on Calcium blockers since then, and on coumadin for past few weeks. I want to get exercise, and need to, but am scared about fibs becomming easier to get. As it is, I get them after just walking a few blocks.

Thanks again!!!

I think your doctor was referring to catecholamines, such as adrenaline.
Once it is clear that exercise doesn't provoke your afib while you are on medications, it will be safe to exercise. A treadmill stress test would be the best way to sort this out.

Just lucky, I guess. I don't know, it took me a long time to get the first one in. Maybe everyone's busy for Christmas now and it's not as busy.

I wondered the same thing myself so I e-mailed the staff at medline and the answer (very prompt) I received was that the forum resets to new questions daily at 9:05 am eastern time. I tried repeatedly for about 10 minutes and still received the same message-they had received their quota of questions for the day. So yes, it is frustrating to see the same person get in twice so quickly.
