Extremely high triglyceride levels

by Dana0526, Aug 24, 2009 07:24PM
My triglyceride level is almost 4000 and my total cholesterol is over 400.  Is it possible the lab could have made a mistake?  I am 33 years old, very active, not over weight, drink some alcohol.

Your trigs are 45 mmol/l  (WAY too high)
Your cholesterol is 10mmol/l  (WAY too high)

All I can say is WOW

Your blood could be used to fry chips in. You need a breakdown of the individual lipids
in your cholesterol count. You need the LDL level, the HDL level but still, your cholesterol
level is WAY high. If you dont eat lots of fat, I would say you have a hyperactive liver.
Hasn't your doctor called you to his office to discuss the possibilty of developing Heart
disease?
