Feeling VERY well with 0.16mg nitro

This is specifically to Cleveland Doctor age 34 who has been so helpful with my prior questions/concerns. I'm doing well with another 0.4 nitro patch added. I may not be jumping hurdles or back on my bike but I feel like I can breathe and no chest tightness. I've used additional nitro spray only twice during these past 3 weeks. So bizarre in the non-existence of any other health issues and clear coronaries; who knows why the microvessels are mis-behaving!

Thanks; yes I've tried the beta blockers, Imdur, Ranexa and other mixes, but nothing works like nitro. Tried many months of l'arginine with no results. High levels of stress/ anxiety (past or present) is not part of this picture and thankfully I've spent many years in nursing/medicine which has really helped me understand what etiologies may exist and this has helped me articulate my symptoms to doctors. I'm just real healthy except for this 'x'. My goal is to get this recognized to help identify it in others, but I'm beginning to realize that I'm personally just too far out from "normal" to make a difference compared to Emory's other "x" patients who are doing well and not nitro dependent as I am. I really want to have a answer before the end! :) Joan.

Yes, I agree.  This is why we call it the X syndrome because we have no idea what causes it.  I am glad that you are better though.  I don't remember whether or not you tried a long acting nitroglycerin pill or a calcium channel blocker in the past.  If not, it may be worthwhile.  One other thing that comes to mind is a high level of stress or anxiety as a possible etiology to this process, but based on what you've told us in the past, I don't think that this is playing a role here at all.
