Atrial flutter is a fairly easy arrhythmia to ablate but afib is harder and can only be done in a minority of patients. If you are in sinus rhythm and happy with the medications I don't see a rush to proceed to ablation. There is a risk that if you are in chronic atrial fibrillation it can make it harder to return to sinus rhythm. The final decision is between you and your doctors.
