Flutter vs anxiety

I went to a family meeting with Stuarts doctor today. We are going round in circles again. The outcome of todays meeting is that he is on the waiting list for ablation 6 months minimum. They cant cariovert or try medication as he needs to be in flutter for the eventual cardioversion. The social worker is organising a psych assessment as they saying his symptoms are disproportionate to his condition. Any ideas anyone.
Regards Donna

Please do let us know how things are going. By next week this thread could be pushed onto the next page. Perhaps you could start a new one when you have news. People post often here so I don't think it will be a problem. Get some rest and let's hope for the best next week. (Sorry about the bad rhyme, wasn't intentional)

Well Stu had pysch assess today and he not nuts just living life with a dicky ticker. His pacer was tested today and they turned it off to see what was happening to his heart and well it was beating 29 BPM. Tomorrow he is being cardioverted hopefully if there is a pacer tech available. Then he will be sent home to await ablation. Its such a long wait I am hoping that he will no longer be suffering heart failure  and he can get on with life for awaile. Lol this is a test of mental strength.

My anxiety doc slept in front of me.  I'm not going back anymore!  He made me anxiety there.  I thought he was dying!

My cardio actually can shock me during the pacer check up in his office.  He shocked me once without telling or warning.  One of the sudden, I white out, I was looking at the ceiling and suddenly all turn white (lost of my eye digital signal) then I was chasing breath.........  The vision came back soon.  I was very scared and walked out of his office quietly.  What a punish for??????

I want my cardio to turn my pacer off is because my left side didn't beat as fast as right side.  Unable to catch up as programmed in the right 70 bpm.  I asked him several time to turn it down and he didn't know where to?  Now I hope he won't tell me that he don't know how to turn it off!

Keep me in posting.  Let me know how is Stu go?

So Stu will be cardioverted? In the first msg you said they didn't want to because he had to be in fib for the ablation. But the second msg said they would cardiovert. I sure hope so. He needs some relief which in turn will give you some relief from all  the worry. A HR of 29 (without the pacer) just isn't acceptable and he sure needs the pacing. Keep us up to date on how things are going.

Donna,

My doc said I'm nothing wrong too.  All in my head and they all gave me reassurance.  Then one of the cardio said I have an abnormal structure heart and need medication.  Should treated my head instead of my heart?  Give me the wrong medicine?

Next visit I won't walk out of his office until he would turn my pacer off and let me go back to my own heart beats and normal human life!  I got no faith with them playing around!

I hope Stu will get well soon.
