Fontan

My history is 1974 Bt Shunt, 1975 Waterston shunt,  1981 fontan with Bjork modification, 1991 atrial transvenous pacemaker, 1992 implant ventricular lead and pacemaker.  since then in 2005 i had a pacemaker generator change. i would like to know on average after you have the fontan surgery when a  heart transplant is needed due to the left ventrical thickening up. also best and worse case scenarios also.  As my doctor is now beginning to push real hard to put me on drugs and i prefer to use natural things such as vitamins.

Jim,
Unfortunately, there is no simple way to answer your question. Every patient is different and progresses in a different way - as such, there is no average time to transplantation for patients with congenital heart disease. I would recommend that seek care in a center which has a dedicated congenital heart program. This will allow you to receive care by physicians who are familiar with these complex problems.
