From what iv found out , as I have Gerd..
it all depeneds how bad you get it .  and if you get trapped gas and bloating with it !
as gas can push upwords and cause chest pains - in some cases Gerd has been known to mimic heart attack symptoms !   I have gotten from gas build up - and acid reflux
palapations off and on and burping heavy at  times !  also iv gotten heavy shoulder cramps and upper back cramping -  its no fun !!

I was told, not to eat past 6p.m  anything - drink only water from that point on ...
and take zantac 150 o.c  meds   for the heartburn problems.

however there are some natural meds you can take , to counter act the gerd

also are you on any type of b.p medication or medication , that might have the side
effect or cause the Gerd to happen !

if so , you may be able to switch medications to another type , that wont have this effect and Gerd might vanish away..

take care and good luck
