Gilbert's disorder and heart attack

Research has shown that people with Gilbert's disease are less likely to have a heart attack.  How true is that statement?

Gilbert's - as in fluctuating bilirubin counts? My husband has Gilbert's but no one has mentioned any connection to his heart health. They just said it's a benign condition.

I found this on wikipedia:

In the first study on coronary heart disease risk in individuals with GS, a three year span was considered and a significant decrease in incidence of coronary artery disease was found in the subjects [14]. Specifically, people with mildly elevated levels of bilirubin (1.1 mg/dl to 2.7 mg/dl) were at lower risk for CAD and at lower risk for future heart disease.

There's more there if you want to google that.

Take care, Ally
