Good doctor and new procedures

I was hesitant to post a question but after reading messages I realize
I am not alone in being scared and confused. Hope I can explain this
problem so you will understand what I am talking about. Its my Mom,
problems started about 2 yrs. ago. She will soon be 79 but looks and acts
more like 60, vibrant and cheerful, worked hard all her life. She first
notice problems because she could not dance but a few minutes before she
became tired and out of breath.  Had stress test, showed problems, I took
her to Charleston for cath, showed 5 blockages, one appeared inoperable,
to small and completely blocked.  After cath while transferring her to
hospital bed, they lost her for about 4 min, didn't have monitor on yet but
she did flatline for 2 min after hookup, did code and got her back. Doc left
hospital after that (Fri.) and never spoke to her again until Mon. afternoon.
never explained anything, doc filling in told me to take her home, she
would not survive surgery, maybe live 3 months. Doctors are in big argument
and Mom just wants to leave, which we did, without surgery. Many problems
since, took her to Charlottsville by ambulance (doc's orders, I chose
Charlottsville this time) Saw doc once, he said her symptoms not bad enough
for surgery, then interns the rest of her stay, back home. In hospital many
times since with AF, had pacemaker 3 wks ago, back in hospital as I write,
heart rate 150. Doc increased bata pace and said if that doesn't do it, then
surgery. I like and trust him (Dr. Wong, WV) but he is not a surgeon, he
thinks Charleston but I am scared (Mom is afraid of Charleston) and also, heard many wonderful things
about Cleveland Clinic (many hrs in waiting rooms) I guess my question, and
I am sorry this is so long, is, how do I find the right doc there, would
take Mom anywhere, she is my very best friend and I want a doc who really
cares and the latest procedure.  She is so scared now after so many
insensitive doctors, thinks she will just put it in God's hands but I know
there must be a caring doctor somewhere who will do everything he can for
her, how do I find him? P.S. Mom has lived 2 more yrs since doc gave her
3 months, active and amazing. Thanks in advance, sorry so long! Gayle

Thank you for your question.  I sympathize with your previous problems which are unfortunately too common.  Without knowing the details of your mothers case I can
