Green Tea Extract And High Blood Pressure

I was planning to take Green tea extract for dieting purposes but was told that it has a caffeine equivalant of 1/3 cup of coffee. If the extract is equivalant to 15 cups of green tea, does that mean I'm getting  huge caffeine boost too? Or is the extract different from a regular cup of green tea?

That much caffeine would be "really bad" for high blood pressure. But I was told green tea extract is great for your health and getting you cleaned out and getting your blood pressure down!

I'm totally confused...
