HBP Newbie

My Dr. prescribed Hydrochlorothiazide for my HBP on Saturday I started it and after 3 days I’m finding that I am getting more dizzy and I can’t stand without holding on to something also the ringing in my ears is louder than in the past couple of days.
Is it supposed to be like this? Having High Blood is new to me and I’ve never felt this way before.

Thank you for your repily.
I will be talking to my Dr about this. But I do not believe that the medication is doing much, today my BP was 154/100 the dizziness wasn't too bad today and the ringing in my ears wasn’t as loud they ring all the time which is called Tinnitus but when my BP is high it gets louder. Still I have never felt that way before and I hope it never happens again.

That may be due to natural detoxification

This should be discussed with your doctor.  The med may be lowering your blood pressure too low and the dose needs to be adjusted.  I have that ringing in my ears also, even on the proper dose, so that may not go away.  Take care and see your doctor about adjusting your dose, Ally
