HEART ATTACK PREVENTIVE MEDICINES
I am 80 years old.  I am taking one tablet each of atorvastatin 10 mg in the night and aspirin 75 mg. in the afternoon.  Both being heart attack preventive medicines,  is it right to take two medicines for the same cause in a day. Kindly advice.  I recently suffered acidity problem and treated in ICU.

They are medications for the same prevention, but are aimed at different parts of the body, so it's fine. Aspirin is aimed at your blood, making it harder for it to clot, while Atorvastatin is aimed at your Liver while you sleep. It stops so much LDL cholesterol being manufactured, which happens while sleeping.
Was your acidity problems due to your aspirin? if so, there are gastric resistant brands which are far better for tolerating.
