Hello and hope you are doing well.
Please don't worry, as the causative factor for diminished ejection fraction is dealt with, it should improve. If there is irregular rhythm, it needs to be corrected. Steroids are given for sarcoidosis. Treatment for low ejection fraction is focused on reducing symptoms and preventing the progress of the disease involved from worsening. Ejection fraction can be improved by lifestyle changes, medications and procedures, such as the insertion of an implantable defibrillator (ICD) if indicated. Lifestyle changes include limiting physical activity, eating a heart healthy diet, completely avoiding alcohol and/or tobacco use, practice relaxation techniques like yoga and keeping a daily weight diary to keep a tab on weight changes. Medications such as digoxin and beta blockers help to improve the pumping capacity of the heart. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor.

Dear Paderla Anitha, thank you for replying to my question. All my Dr. did was to put me on some medications to reduce the pressure on the heart, in addition to Prednisone for the sarcoidosis.
Do you mean that my condition may cause sudden death?
Hello and hope you are doing well.
An EF of less than 40% confirms a diagnosis of heart failure. An EF of less than 35% increases the risk of life- threatening irregular heartbeats and may need an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) to normalize the rhythm. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.
