HELP Please!! What is a "prominent lung artifact"?

I can't find out what this means online and my PCP is away.

I had a transthoracic echo done 21/2 weeks ago and the trech coded the technical limitation part incorrectly.  Instead of "prominet lung artifact" blocking the view, she coded it as "technically limited due to breast implanys".  I just got the corrected terminology this morning and I'm kinda wiggin' out.

I was in the hospital 4 weeks ago for some sort of "event" that was stroke-like.  Been down this road before 9 years ago.  I have APLS and Protein C & S Deficiencies, history of stroke/TIA, CFS/Fibro, Cognitive Decline, now an irregular heartbeat, blood in the urine (without infection), etc, etc., etc.

Don't have breast implants, ha ha, or I'd be due a refund from someone.
I will be getting the echo repeated because I'm not sure I can trust these results, but really won't relax until I can define (at least loosely, what this ARTIFACT is.

Please write back if you know anything about this subject.

Thanks.

I can't comment on the significance of the breast implant in terms of what has not been properly viewed in terms of your test.  An artifact is a structure not narturally present on living tissue but which a real image appears.  Hope this helps and good luck on your subsequent test and thanks for sharing.  Take care.
