You still don't understand it.  READ THE REGULATIONS!  You can ask the doctor on the "Ask the Doctor" board TWO questions in a SIX months period.  Once you asked the doctor these two questions you are suppose to wait SIX months before you can ask the next question.

About what your counselor said he/she is right about trauma.  At age three I was hospitalized for one solid year and almost died.  Ever since then I have a phobia of the "what if" will the doctor tell me what might be wrong with me, "what if" the tests I have to take come back positive. When I was 23 my mom died at age 46 within six days of an unexpected death.  I know all about trauma.  I have a fear and phobia of doctors and hospitals, but I learned not to let it control my life.  I still go for my appointments and tests I have to take even though I am scared to death of the results.

I know all about anxiety and panic attacks.  I suffered from it for decades until I got help from Dr. Weeks. I suffered from agorophobia, when I left the house I got severe panic attacks and had to rush home.  One panic attack landed me at the ER with a BP of 255/130.

Yes, I know where you are coming from when it comes to anxiety.

Let us know what the doctor said when you see him in June.  Yes, I know what anxiety can do to a person, and I hate to see anybody having to go through it.

Good luck!  If that helps you any:  Most of the time when we worry about something we think we have or will take place it usually turns out that we worried about nothing, and I hope that will be the case for you.

I think everybody in there life has a  scare. I think my problem is 13 years ago my dad had a massive heart attack 48 yrs old and died  I think back then I didn't relize death until my dad died. My councelor thinks it trauma me. Ya it did but I need to move on enjoy my life. your right I don't know if I have brugada they are not sure I think that is why Im scared cause they don't know I was reading about BRUGADA and I don't have all the features on my ekg and that is good. Everybody is so concern about my anxiety and I am to that is why Im seeing a councelor. Ya know I read alot about brugada and my anxiety goes straight up. My councelor told me don't keep calling doctors and read on the internet cause it will make my anxiety worst. That is my problem so Im trying to not do that anymore.  Im 34 yrs old never had symptons in my life ya paplations here and there but they say my anxiety is bad.  I know where your coming from and I know you are trying to help with my anxiety. Ill just wait until june I can't wait so my mind will ease me. Do you have arrythmias? If I get anxious my councelor told me to call her so I can talk to her.

Just to clarify you meant the "Ask the Doctor Board" right?  You can post on this board every minute if you want to there are no limits, and I could careless how many times you or anybody else posts on THIS board I am posting on right now.

BTW, how do you know I never was in your shoes when it comes to high anxiety?  Just because I don't have a condition you "might" have?  How do you know that I didn't have a loved one hanging on the respirator in the Cardiac ICU for three weeks last year because of a heart problem and then died.  Every time the phone rang I was afraid to pick it up, afraid its bad news.  Doctors couldn't turn the respirator off because at the time they were not sure whether he is going to live or die, there was a "very slight chance" for that reason they could not turn the respirator off.

We listened to the Cardiologists, we went on Google and researched his condition as with the Texas Heart Institute, the Mayo Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic and lots more.  Not because we didn't trust what the Cardiologists said at the Cardiac ICU, but we wanted as much information as possible about this condition, and yes, if there was anything the Cardiologists didn't tell us and we could bring it to their attention, but everything they told us was what we found when doing our research.

bip,
Alot of us with Long QT Syndrome also have anxiety problems. It is not a direct symptom of the disease, but more a symptom of the worry of the disease. Don't feel discouraged if others don't understand what you are feeling. I know first-hand how you feel. Keep asking questions, knowledge is power.

I have Long QT Syndrome and so do my 3 children. My son who just turned 20 had a cardiac arrest last March. Before our definite diagnosis I had seen several cardiologists, some of whom treated me like I was neurotic to them being outright rude with the attitude that they were right and I was wrong. One told me to take my year 9 year old to an ear specialist. How absurd is that. We came across our diagnosis almost by accident. My 9 year old was having dizzy spells while playing hockey and I thought that maybe his blood sugar was low or something. Our GP heard a heart murmur (fortunately it was an innocent one) and ordered an ECG and Echo. The ECG showed Borderline Long QT. Had I not read that I wouldn

Somehow my post was cut off.

Breaking the rules and asking frequent questions on the "Ask the Doctor" board and taking space away with the SAME questions is not rude????  Other people want to get in on it too.

If you read my posts you will read where I gave you suggestions, how to help yourself concerning your anxiety, I asked you a question about this SPECIALIST you posted on Google yet you never answered me.

You don't have to.  I never said a word at the beginning when you posted several posts on the "Ask the Doctor" board, and if you read my post again instead of scanning over it you will see that I didn't say anything because I understand your anxiety, but that does not mean just because you are under high anxiety you can take space away when others are waiting in line to ask a question.  Be glad I told you in a post, others could've reported you to the site administrator.

I feel for your high anxiety, but don't use that to get special privileges with posting frequent questions on the doctor board while others are waiting in line.

And in case you say "let the doctors tell you" they are to busy to keep track that is what they have site administrators for to read the reports if somebody doesn't follow the rules.  Be glad nobody turned you in yet.

Thanks for the info and update.  If you read my posts in the past I tried to help her with suggestions.

However, no matter how serious somebody's illness is (and she doesn't even know 100% if this is the case with her) that does NOT give somebody the right to go on the "Ask the Doctor" board and post frequent questions while others including me go by the rules and regs and wait our turn as in "only 2 questions per 6 months".  I think its VERY SELFISH just because a person has high anxiety to break the rules and post frequently asking doctors.  She got more than once the same answer from a doctor, matter of fact if you read the doctors reply she was even advised to do something about her anxiety state.

I also said I did not say anything at first because of her high anxiety even though I saw that she was breaking the rules with her second and third SAME question in a very short time period, and getting the SAME answers.

I was told on this very board one time by somebody that "my next exercise might be my last" because I do get PVC's during exercise.  I did not take advantage of this news and broke the rules to see what a cardiologist on this site has to say, and whatever he /she would've told me posting a question again breaking the rules because I did not trust what the first doctor told me, and therefore posting again and again on the doctor board.  Instead I made an appointment with a Cardiologist, and did not leave until I had total understanding what each test result said.

Burguda might be the most dangerous in a heart condition, but so are many other heart conditions.  I'm sure there are many people on here who are afraid of "sudden death" but do not break the rules, and are selfish about it, i.e. "I'm not satisfied yet with the answers and I will keep on asking the doctors to hell with the other people waiting in line, I take MY space away from others as often as I can get it".  If you think my answer is rude that is to bad, its reality.  Nobody should get special privileges.  Most of us are fearing death.  This is the heart board, not the nose and throat board.

I know where you are coming from.  I did see a councelor today and I walked out of there feeling good. You were right if they thought something was wrong they wouldn't wait. Im seeing a councelor every couple weeks so I will not worry about myself. My councelor told me If I keep asking the same quiestions over and over Ill just get myself worked up. I guess other things to worry about and I want to enjoy life.  Life is too short to worry.  Thank you for helping!!!

you don't have to be so rude to me  on this board. I talk to plenty of people and they were very nice to me they didn't act this way to me. I did call they are seeing me in june. Im so sorry I made you upset  Alot people on this board knows exactly where Im coming from. you don't. I did ask my ep doc. everything they don't know. Im sure if they didn't know if something was wrong and you wanted to  know you would be frustrated to. Don't post on the board if you are going to be rude.

You never answered my question.  I copied and pasted on this site where you asked an "expert" ( I ran across your post on Google)  in this field Dr. Paul, I do not remember his last name and don't feel like looking for that post.  This SPECIALIST asked you to have a "genetic testing" done.  Did you ever have that done?

I know you are in high anxiety.  You said in one of your posts that your next appointment is in June.  Call every day and ask if there are cancellations and to fill you in because you are driving yourself crazy with worry.  When you finally see the Cardiologist or whoever DON'T LEAVE THE OFFICE UNTIL ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED.  Remember they are working for US, and WE, the patients bring in the money whether its through our Insurance companies, or cash if we are rich, or if its written off as a charity case, the doctors DO GET PAID, and its THEIR JOB TO ANSWER ALL OUR QUESTIIONS, and if they are in a hurry that is to bad.  You tell them you need to know in details what is or might is wrong with you.  If its hard for you understand then tell them to write it down for you.

We are NOT Specialists nor doctors on this board.  You know by now that none of us or any of our loved ones ever had this.

I also saw you posting questions frequently on the "Ask the Doctor" board.  I didn't say anything because of your high anxiety, but do you realize or did you read the rules and regs that you are only allowed to answer TWO questions every six months?  There are lots of people including me who are patiently waiting to ask that question.  When others frequently ask questions they are taking the space away for somebody who is patiently waiting in line, that is not fair.

If you are that hyper and high anxiety then get clarity, see if you get an appointment sooner, call your doc and ask if you can have some tranquelizers to tie you over till your appointment.  We cannot help you.

Last but not least if they thought you had this condition do you think they would let you wait that long for an appointment?  My husband was seen within 3 days just because his BP kept creeping up and he is on BP meds.
