For a racing heart, there is medication (beta blocker group) that can stabilize the heart rate.  The plavix is an anti-coagulant to prevent blood clotting.  If the heart is beating excessively and very fast, there is a risk of blood clots.

The nitro is a fast acting drug that will dilate coronary vessels and provide almost immedicat relief from pain (angina) due to ischemia (lack of adequate blood flow) to the heart muscle.

do you drink a lot of caffinated frinks, that could be one reason your heart is racing.
I can't really help and I am sorry that you are having these problems, take care and good luck
