HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

I am menapausal 47 year old had mild hypertension-.5 mg of Benicar pressure went to low went of for a month, came down with the flu I took alot of advil and amoxicillion -I was feeling better until BP went out of sight three days ago 170/117-started taking Benicar again -during the day it is down - but tonight it was 174/104-yes anxiety is bad on xanax for last year. Has anyone heard of infection or flu making Bp Rise like this?

your BP probably shot up because you stopped your BP med for a month. You started again recently and it takes awhile for BP to adjust.
