HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

by lee2009, Feb 28, 2009 11:19AM
I have just been told that I have High Blood Pressure.  Yesterday, when I went to the Dr., it was 140/90.  When do you think it is appropriate to take Medication for the High Blood Pressure?  My highest reading was 150/100.

Thanks

If your blood pressure is consistently 140/90 then it is time for some blood pressure medicine.  Doctors now are starting patients out on a water pill to bring down blood pressure.  A small dose sometimes works great and will be beneficial to your heart.  Over time with high blood pressure, your heart can wear out.
