Had Cath Ablation and still having problems

I have suffered with SVT's for over 18 years I also have mitral valve prolaspe. I was on beta blocker Inderal LA 80 mg.About 3 months ago my doctor said he felt it was time we tried to do
an ablation as my heart was really not being controlled my the Inderal as my attacks were getting more and more. So he did the cathether ablation 3 months ago and stopped all beta blocker.Three days after the ablation my heart was beating so fast and hard I almost blacked out we called the doctor and he put me on Atentol and made me wear a 48 hour monitor which he said the heart was to fast.Well I kept on having palpatations and a really hard heart beat you can see it beat through my blouse. So he made me use 30 day event monitor which he said everything looked like he got the arrhythmia so my husband ask him why then does she still have palpatations and a reaaly hard heart beat he said he didn't know why.He has taken me off the Atentol as no matter how low the dose my heart rate drops between 35-40 beats a minute.I have told him when my heart starts the really hard beats that I start shaking and get very weak. His reply was maybe it's anxiety. I really don't know what I need to do everyone keeps telling me to see another doctor but I really like my doctor but kind of feel like he's not listening to me now .I have not felt good since the ablation and my energy level is gone it feels like someone has taken the life out of me.I have always been very active I am 48 female 5 ft 5 in
105 lbs. never drank, never smoked and never been over weight.I guess I want to know what you think may be going on since the ablation? My husband says he could run 5 miles and his heart wouldn't beat as hard as mine does, doing nothing or just walking across the yard. Any help you could give I would greatly appreciate. Thank you for your time with this matter.

Dear Myrtle,

When you were wearing the event monitor did you have an episode?  If so and the heart rhythm was in regular rhythm then your doctors need to look for another source of your symptoms besides the heart.  Anxiety and depression are common problems and can cause these type of symptoms.  In addition there are good medications to help treat these.  Other sources would be the lungs and GI system.  An internal medicine doctor would be able to help you sort this out.
