Having an brain MRI done with a St Jude valve inn place

Hi... I want to know how safe it is to have an MRI of the brain made if I have a  Mitral Valve Replacement (St Jude)...Are there any risks, and if so, What are my options?...

You simply inform the technician on the day of the scan. Usually you fill in a form before the procedure which asks these questions. The powerful magnets in the mri scanner can heat any metal implants so you must inform them, then the equipment is adjusted accordingly. I believe they lower the intensity of the magnetic field.
