Heart Dimensions
What are the normal ranges of cardiac dimensions for a 38 year old female, 5ft. 3in.,112lb..? My echo results showed a left atrium at 3.5cm, left ventricle diastolic 4.7cm, systolic 2.7cm and end diastolic volume 102ml and systolic 27ml. Ejection fraction of 74%.It showed bileaflet mitral valve prolapse of a moderate degree.  I would appreciate any information. Thank You.

These dimensions are all within acceptable limits. The bileaflet mitral valve prolapse may get worse with time, though, and will need to be followed carefully.
