Hello, I am a 31 year  old female. I having chest pain for about 2 mts. I had a echo done and it said i had right ventricle and pulomary artery pressure elevated to 35. I have a heart cath scheduled for thursday, dr said it was only slightly elevated. My question is is 35 elevated enough to have a heart cath??

I am not sure if the 35 no is reason enough for a cath, but at 45 I had a cath done due to shoulder pain and shortness of breath,I had to have surgery a few hrs later, without the cath they would have never found the blockage, mine was my left main, most of the time if there is a lage blockage, they can just stent it,and in your case there may not be one at all,but it is the only way to look,I hope this helps but use your own judgement,I know it is scary, but the cath does not hurt and it could ease your mind in any case.
