Heart Function

Will your heart muscle with a defective heart valve over a period of time reduce it's thickness if you have stopped taking ephedrine and have started a low sodium , low cholestrol diet and also started an excercise program?

It depends on a few things.  How severe is the heart defect, and how much is it contributing to your overall heart problem?  Stopping ephederine will definitely do good.  Reducing sodium will also be beneficial.  Light to moderate exercise (no marathons or major weightlifting) benefits almost everyone, though you should have clearance from your doctor first.  Reducing cholesterol won't help your heart thickness, but it will reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack.
