Heart Pain, Pe Angina????

Heart Pain, Pe Angina????

Hi

I’m a man of 30 years of age. I'm 6 ft 5 and weigh in at 20 stone (UK)!

I have had heart pain since maybe the age of 19. The first I can remember was intense cramp and muscle spasm from the heart region that the doctor said was a pulled muscle. Hence I didn't argue!

The life that I have lived has been very a some what stressed and strained existence and last year at the age of 28 I was admitted into hospital with acute heart pain, the same as when I was 19. If truth be known I had had this pain some 3 times in the period since I was 19 but worked through the problem as I am and was the main earner.

Anyway I was admitted into hospital as they had seen an abnormality on my ECG, they then said I had a PE and started to inject me with blood thinning solutions. There was a delay in my screening but by the time I got down there my clot had disappeared!! Then they said it could be angina then they said I could go home??????????????????????

Anyway since then I have got fluttering in the heart, pain in the left where they said the P.E. was and top right of my chest still in the heart area.

Any advice would be good as I can’t afford to be ill as I am my wife’s main carer. DONT say go to hospital as my hospital here would send you home with your leg hanging off if they thought they could save money!!!

I think you need to see a cardiologist and have an MRA to check for blockages in the arteries.  It may well be worth having EECP and maybe taking supplements such as "Endothelial Defense" from the Life Extension Foundation. You can read about EECP on their website.

I don't know anything about Endothelial Defense, but in your shoes I would want to have a cardiologist perform a nuclear study of my heart, especially if there was an abnormal EKG. That will show them if you have areas of your heart that are not getting supplied with enough blood at both rest and stress, this will help them determine if your pain is angina. I would not get talked into a 64 slice CT scan either as these results are not yet fully accepted as being accurate and reliable.  I also don't think there's a pulmonary embolism floating through your arteries waiting to cause a heart attack, it most like was an error or has dissolved but I'm just giving my opinion and I'm not a doctor.

It's pretty rare to have heart disease at your age but it can happen. You have also been through a considerable amount of stress and your heart fluttering could be anxiety related, you may want to ask your primary care doctor about that as well.

I hope some of this helps, good luck.

Well i went back to my drs and they ran an ecg and blood pressure.

154 over 90 pulse 60

SO im borderline, they cant work out where the pain is from as the ECG was normal. But i have to go back in a week for another blood pressure test and ecg and then take it from there.
