PVC!!!! That's what they are called!!! LOL!!!!
A PVC may be perceived as a "skipped beat" or felt as palpitations in the chest. In a normal heartbeat, the ventricles contract after the atria have helped to fill them by contracting; in this way the ventricles can pump a maximized amount of blood both to the lungs and to the rest of the body . In a PVC, the ventricles contract first, which means that circulation is inefficient. However, single beat PVC arrhythmias do not usually pose a danger and can be asymptomatic in healthy individuals.[1]
Any time there is something funny going on with what may be the heart . . . Call your doctor! With that said, I have had SVT issues for at least 30 years. It's something I was born with and not until I was a teenager did it really start giving me problems. I have had to go in and have it stopped chemically in the hospital. NOT FUN! I just recently had an ablations done to fix the SVT episodes. Since the procedure I have "Flutters/Racing" It's kinda like what you are describing. They have a name and for the life of me I can't think of what it is!!! LOL!!!! I will find out and let you know. In the mean time call your doctor and get in to see him/her. Tell them exactly what's going on and make sure they are listening!
