Heart Transplant (End stage)

I would like to know, how a person with heart failure, lung collapsed, kidney not functioning well, would survive? what is the rate of survival? and that person has done a biventricular pacing surgery. right now in a very critical state. what is the cost for check up after heart transplant according to this person's condition? would there be any chance, the person will get back in normal? I heard of that person's doctor to do VAD but doing VAD will risk the person's life as well. and the cost is unbelievably high.

ohh , and they didn't do the VAD . due to lots of infections spreading and he's in a state of a very high fever . nevertheless , he had seizures also :S
it was mainly for making it as a bridge while waiting for the heart transplant . but right now , they're just going to hold onto that biventricular pacing .
a person with such , would not even live long after heart transplant ?
