Heart aneurysm and metabolic myopathy

I am 42 years of age and have a 4.4 ascending aorta aneurysm.  I was also diagnosed with adult onset metabolic myopathy.  I just don't know what kind.  I am athletic, as I was on the 1994 Winter Olympic team.  my dads side has history of ascending aorta aneurysms, heart bipasses, diabetis, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.  I have only the aneurysm.  My dad died at 54, grandpa at 63 and great grandpa at 39.  All heart related.  Can my metabolic myopathy be the cause of this aneurysm.  Should I find out the type of myopathy I have?  How?  Tilly1994

I hate to have to tell you this, but if your dad died at 54, and your grandfather died at 63, then you need to get checked out.  You could be at risk!
