A fixed anterior wall defect on a blood perfusion test might be due to a previous heart attack, but might also represent an artifact which can occur with this test. I would advise consultation with a cardiologist. He or she might recommend further testing, such as an ECG, echocardiogram, and heart catheterization. The exact tests would depend on your syptoms (symptoms), physical examination and ECG. It would also be important to check you other risk factors besides high blood pressure, such as cholesterol and smoking status.

If you would like to make an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute, please call 1-800-CCF-CARE or inquire online at https://my.clevelandclinic.org/heart/default.aspx. The website contains a directory of the cardiology staff that can be used to select the physician best suited to address your cardiac problem.
