Heart arrythmia and Epilepsy

My Epilepsy appeared to start like this, just as u describe.  My heart would be going like a freight train for no reason sometimes and at other times reaaaaaaaaaaaaally slowly.  Then I had a fit.  We assumed it was to with my heart and went to a Cardiologist and had a holter on for 24hrs and this showed my heart going from 30bpm right u to 127bpm whilst doing everyday stuff.  After meds for the heart arrythmia I went on to have a couple more fits so went to a neurologist where I was put on Epilepsy meds and taken off the heart meds, and I am happy to say my heart has settled right down so, in my humble and non-medical opinion they are connected.

That is interesting. When I was a young child I had what appeared to be seizures. I remember going in every year for an EEG. They also had me on meds for epilepsy. It wasn't until years later that another doctor told my Mom it wasn't epilepsy but my heart. That explained why I would turn blue at times. I'll never get the whole story but that's what I was told.

As an adult I was tested and found to have various arrhythmias so I know my heart is a bit off. Not sure about the whole epilepsy business. Don't have seizures now but I read that some children can "grow out of it." My story seems to be the reverse of yours.
